BREAKING: Police Officer Shoots Himself Dead in Aweil Town

A police officer identified as Dut Garang Majok, a Warrant Officer (RSM), has died by suicide following a domestic quarrel with his wife in Aweil Town.

According to sources, the deceased was stationed at Nile Commercial Bank. His wife had reportedly been rescued from a suicide attempt yesterday due to ongoing family issues. Today, the officer took his own life with a single gunshot.

The incident was confirmed by a family member, former Aweil Town Mayor Tong Deng.

Another source said the deceased told his sibling before leaving home for work that he would not return home alive.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
