Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Neighbor in Aweil Center
A 46-year-old man, Ngor Jhok Kuach, popularly known as Ngor Ajiing, has been arrested for allegedly killing 40-year-old neighbor, Ariik Garang Nyudhi, in Leric Boma of Umoro Payam, Aweil Center County. Incident occurred on Monday March 2, 2026 in Leric Boma.
According to a police officer who spoke to the Aweil News Agency, the suspect resides in Arroyo. He reportedly returned home last night and found the deceased conversing with his wife and other family members in his compound.
The officer stated that Ngor Jhok had long suspected the late Ariik Garang of having an affair with his wife. Upon finding him at his home, an argument allegedly broke out, during which Ngor attacked Ariik with an axe, causing serious injuries.
The late Ariik did not die at the scene. After the incident, he reportedly ran toward his house but collapsed on the road. Police were informed the following morning, and at around 11:00 AM, he was taken to Arroyo County Headquarters for medical attention. Unfortunately, he passed away while receiving treatment.
Police have confirmed the arrest of the suspect, and investigations are ongoing. Burial arrangements will proceed as investigations continue.
