Jacob Dollar pledges network, Roads, and Power to Nyamana Community in Wun-Amum Payam
The Governor of Upper Nile State, Hon. Jacob Dollar Ruot, has pledged to extend mobile network coverage, road infrastructure, and electricity to the community of Nyamana Boma in Wun-Amum Payam, Melut County.
Addressing residents on Monday in Kilo Ashara/Nyamana, Governor Dollar said his administration, in collaboration with the Chief Administrator of Kilo Ashara, Hon. Akim Manyang, will soon begin coordinating the projects once he returns safely to Malakal.
Governor Dollar emphasized that access to network services, clean water, roads, and electricity are basic human needs that must be addressed urgently to improve the livelihoods of the people.
“I know Kilo Ashara is now a buffer zone and that there is authority on the ground. With the help of the Chief Administrator, we will soon connect power, network services, and water for the community living in Kilo Ashara,” he said.
The Governor also urged the community to maintain peaceful coexistence and reject tribalism, calling on all residents to live together as brothers and sisters.
“I know all of you gathered here are sons and daughters of Kilo Ashara, regardless of your tribes or religions. You are here as citizens living in peace. I do not want to hear about Nuer, Dinka, Shilluk, Maban, or Kumba; I want to hear only about the people of Upper Nile State,” Jacob Dollar concluded.
