Dr. John Garang’s wife says veteran soldiers deserve respect and dignity

Late Dr. Jong Garang Wife (Rebecca Nyandeng) expressed the need to respect and improve welfare for the veterans/Liberators.

Nyandeng who is also the Vice President made the call while meeting one of the liberators Ajuong Bol who liberated South Sudan from Arabs.

This particular liberator was recently see requesting for financial medical support as he battle sicknesses. 

Bol composes several military songs including praising Dr. Jong Garang, a move that encourage the SPLA under Dr. Jong to fight harder during the liberation struggle. 

According to the statement obtained from VP Nyandeng office, she stressed that the history remembers many brave men and women who fought for liberation.

“The VP went on to say that care for those who served and continue to serve this nation should be a national and institutional responsibility, stressing that our veterans deserve respect and dignity” the statement partly read.
